Process of making Vitamin B1 (referencing)
Thiamine is found in a wide variety of foods such as can be found in enriched flours, whole grains, wheat germ, brown rice, rice bran . Yeast and pork are the most highly concentrated sources of thiamine. In general, cereal grains are the most important dietary sources of thiamine, by virtue of their ubiquity. Of these, whole grains contain more thiamine than refined grains, as thiamine is found mostly in the outer layers of the grain and in the germ (which are removed during the refining process).
Thiamine Mononitrate participates in formation of the coenzyme in vivo, it maintains glycometabolism and functions of the nerve and digestive systems. It is used in preventing and treating Vitamin B1 deficiency, and also helpful for therapy of neuritis and dyspepsia. Besides pharmaceutical application, it also can be used as food additive and feed additive.
